Gunnar Lindahl announced as new VATSIM President

Online flying network VATSIM has announced a change at the top.

Gunnar Lindahl takes over from Kyle Ramsey as President of the network’s Board of Governors, responsible for the day-to-day running of the organisation.

Lindahl, currently VP Marketing and Communications for the organisation, has also served as head of the network’s team of supervisors and is a former director of the UK division.

He starts his two-year term at a time when the network is keen to implement technical advances such as an improved voice codec, a voice UNICOM facility for uncontrolled airfields and more modern clients.

In a statement released earlier today, a VATSIM spokesman said Lindahl had “presented the Board of Governors with a clear vision to grow the network and make it better for our members.”
